Automotive-Relays The MCU Control battery monitoring LSI measures voltage, current and temperature with high accuracy and protects the battery pack with an external microcontroller. It measures the voltage of each cell, charge / discharge current. The external microcontroller detects overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, high or low temperature. Upon the microcontroller detecting an abnormal battery pack state, it controls charge / discharge MOS FET. It also has a cell balancing function. Some variants have protection functions such as short-circuit detection and overvoltage detection, protecting the battery pack quickly without need for control by a microcontroller. The MCU Control provides advanced protection and management functions of battery packs.
