  Crossbow offers a variety of Mote development kits designed to provide customers with all of the basic tools needed to develop and prototype a wireless network running      TinyOS. The Basic kit is designed as an entry-level platform and includes three MICA2 Mote processor/radio boards, a base station, and two sensor boards. The                Professional kit includes eight Motes, sensor and data acquisition boards, and a base station. Four of the eight Motes in this kit are the standard MICA2 Motes while the      other four are in the MICA2DOT 25mm form factor. The MICAz kit includes eight 802.15.4/ZigBee compliant Motes, sensor and data acquisition boards, and two different     gateway/interface boards. The MCS410 series Cricket kit is a MICA2-based wireless location system. It includes eight Cricket Motes, a base station, and TinyOS-based     Cricket Software with Visualization Tools.

  Crossbow's OEM development kit supports immediate prototyping of wireless sensor networks out-of-the box. The MICAz OEM Development Kit is targeted at applications  using the 2.4 GHz frequency band, and the MICA2 OEM Development Kit targets applications using the 916 MHz frequency band Classroom kits are available and can be    custom configured for teaching wireless technology.
