An Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS) combines the functions of a Vertical Gyro and a Directional Gyro to provide measurement of Roll, Pitch, and Heading (Azimuth) angles.
The Crossbow AHRS440, AHRS510 and AHRS500 are solid-state inertial measurement systems that utilize MEMS sensing technology and combine angular rate, linear acceleration and magnetic field measurements to create an electronically stabilized Attitude and Heading Reference System without the orientation range and warm-up limitations of traditional mechanical gyro systems.
Upcoming Products: The AHC525 "Level A certified" Attitude Heading Reference Card is a "first of its kind" high performance embedded AHRS specifically designed for integration within Glass Cockpit Systems, Flight Management Systems and Standby Attitude Indicators.
FAA Certified Products: * The AHRS500 product is certified per TSO C4c and TSO C6d; it is qualified per DO-160D and DO178B Level C test standards. The output is RS-232. Magnetometer functionality is included in the product, and a remote magnetometer option is supported.
* The AHRS510 product is certified per TSO C4c and TSO C6d; it is qualified per DO-160E and DO-178B Level B test standards. The output is ARINC 429. A remote magnetometer is required for heading output.
