Willow Technologies Limited www.willow.co.uk introduces an excellent ultra-miniature thermistor healthcare solution from Amphenol, for applications requiring fast response in confined spaces and absolute ease of insertion. The AB6 is the latest in packaged tiny chip technology. The AB6 chip-in-glass solution is ideal where a small thermistor is required to have long leads for insertion into deep wells and cavities, or threading into long tubes. The assembly is well suited for insertion into catheter lumens, hypodermic needles and other small housings requiring extended leads. The solution can also be used for temperature measurements in airflow, blood analysis, cranial insertion and even military aerospace applications. Ranging to just 0.35mm in diameter, the tiny AB6 Thermistor Temperature Sensor range is offered complete with fine diameter platinum alloy leads down to 0.02mm in diameter. A number of NTC chips configurations are available for use in the AB6 Thermistor assembly; for thermo-dilution & ablation catheters, these are typically 14K? and have tolerances of ±15% down to ±0.5% at 37ºC. Additional catheter type assemblies are also available upon customer request.
